Students who receive scholarship support are able to focus on their education and take full advantage of the university’s unparalleled learning environment. With more scholarships, the University of Georgia is better able to attract the best and brightest students.
Covering the gap
Even with the competitive tuition rates at the University of Georgia, more students are finding it difficult to afford a college degree. More than 94 percent of UGA’s students receive financial aid, such as Pell Grants and the HOPE Scholarship. For some, there is still a gap to cover the full cost of attendance. For students whose families are unable to provide financial assistance, this means working several jobs or taking out multiple loans.
