IT BEGAN WITH THEIR COURAGE.
IT CONTINUES WITH OUR COMMITMENT.

Sixty years ago, the University of Georgia changed forever when Charlayne Hunter-Gault (ABJ ’63) and Hamilton Holmes (BS ’63) became the first Black students to register for classes at UGA. Today, the UGA community continues to remove barriers to education and foster an inclusive atmosphere on campus. It’s on us, Bulldogs, to keep the door open for the next generation.
