The University of Georgia Foundation elected John H. Crawford IV (BBA ’88) as chairman, effective July 1, in addition to other leadership and board changes.
Thanks to the support of a number of individuals, Peabody met its goal to raise $50,000 on its inaugural Peabody Giving Day, Nov. 14, 2018. With the addition of a dollar-for-dollar match challenge, the final amount raised exceeded $100,000.
Dr. Larry O’Toole has dedicated his life to research of public administration at UGA, and most recently, established a doctoral fund to recruit future leaders in the field.
When construction of the Business Learning Community is done, the result will be a massive transformation for the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
UGA Alumnus Doug Ivester is honored for his involvement and generosity through the naming of the final building in the Terry Business Learning Community.

A $1 million gift from the Callaway Foundation will fund a new visitor entrance to the State Botanical Garden of Georgia at the University of Georgia, enhancing access to the galleries, classrooms, collections and displays.
Synovus has established five need-based scholarships for incoming University of Georgia students intending to major in business. Part of the Georgia Commitment Scholarship Program, the scholarships will be awarded to students across Georgia beginning in fall 2019.
A scholarship funded by UGA alumnus Hiram Larew (BSA ’75) allowed a current master’s student the opportunity to attend the Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development conference.
