A BOLD SCHOLARSHIP

COMMITMENT.

Education leads to prosperity. Discovery drives progress. Service builds a better tomorrow. That’s the belief at the core of UGA and scholarships are the key to getting us there. For Georgia. For Generations.

SUPPORTING STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AT UGA

For Georgia. For Generations.

For Georgia. For Generations.

Scholarships reduce financial barriers, empower students to focus on learning, and equip graduates to transform lives, industries and communities.

We’re rallying the Bulldog Nation to ensure UGA has the resources necessary to fuel solutions to pressing challenges and advance the university’s land-grant mission to serve every corner of the state.

EDUCATION = PROSPERITY

With scholarships, students can pursue life-changing experiences and discover the next step in their journey knowing that donors and alumni believe in them.

UGA is committed to recruiting, supporting and investing in top students while reducing overall student loan debt for all Bulldogs.

Adison Marsh

“The scholarship support I received changed the trajectory of my education and showed me the meaning of giving back. This journey has given me a passion for paying it forward and my dream is to eventually start my own scholarship to ensure that the door of opportunity stays open for future generations.”

– Adison Marsh ’26

Through scholarships, we can open doors to one of the nation’s top public universities, ensuring that the brightest minds can discover, lead, and serve regardless of circumstance for generations to come.

DISCOVERY DRIVES PROGRESS

“As Georgia’s flagship institution, we have a responsibility to ensure that future generations can experience the remarkable benefits of a UGA education,” said President Jere W. Morehead. “By supporting this transformational scholarship initiative, donors are giving more students access to our unparalleled learning environment.”

“Without the scholarship, I would not have had the opportunities to grow and experience everything UGA has to offer. It truly made me the person I am today.”

– Colby Smith (AB ’25, BS ’25)

SERVICE BUILDS A BETTER TOMORROW

We are committed to enrolling top students from across the state with greater resources and stronger incentives to choose a UGA education.

By inspiring students to make UGA — and Georgia — their home, we prepare graduates to lead, serve, and give back to the communities that shaped them for generations to come.

During Fatime Niane’s (AB ’24, AB ’24, JD ’27) time as a UGA undergrad, scholarships helped offset some of the costs of the Washington Semester Program, enabling her to fully engage with her internship in the nation’s capital and solidify the direction of her future career as a lawyer.

Through research, service, and discovery, UGA students and faculty power a stronger economy, healthier communities, and a brighter future, fulfilling our land-grant promise to serve every corner of the state.

Since 1785, the University of Georgia has upheld a steadfast commitment that education leads to prosperity, discovery drives progress, and service to others builds a better tomorrow for all. Today, that legacy lives on in every student that aspires to pass through the Arch with dreams of a brighter future—not just for themselves, but for the state of Georgia.

Through scholarships, we can open doors to one of the nation’s top public universities, ensuring that the brightest minds can discover, lead, and serve regardless of circumstance for generations to come.

With a scholarship, however, Sabina was able to participate in internships, campus activities and the UGA Mentor Program. Because of scholarships, “My sky is clear,” she said.

THE TIME TO ACT IS NOW

Even with the transformative impact of the HOPE and Zell Miller scholarships on affordability for in-state residents, a gap often remains between covered tuition and the full cost of attendance.

On average, 30% of UGA undergraduate students graduate with student loan debt of $19,000, regardless of circumstance or background. By increasing scholarship support, the university will meet the varying levels of student need now and far into the future.
