“Their impact is felt everywhere on this campus”
For as long as they’ve been around, the University of Georgia and Southern Company/Georgia Power have been devoted to Georgia. Their partnership, unsurprisingly, yields enormous benefits for our state.
“We care about the people of Georgia, we care about the future of Georgia, we’re committed to working together to make things better,” said UGA President Jere W. Morehead.
Through programs like the Archway Partnership and the Georgia Network for Electric Mobility, UGA and Southern Company/Georgia Power join forces to expand what is possible for communities throughout Georgia. Students are major beneficiaries of this partnership, as well — Georgia Power has hired countless UGA graduates, and their support for scholarships removes barriers for students every year.
“I’m really excited to continue to partner with UGA because we have such a bright future in this state,” said Kim Greene, Georgia Power chairman, president and chief executive officer. “They just make us better here at Georgia Power.”
From e-mobility to student support to research that supports Georgia’s power grid and much more, the results of the rich partnership between UGA and Southern Company/Georgia Power are building a better Georgia every day.
