EMERITUS TRUSTEES INITIATIVES
1. Student Success and Student Life
The university supports holistic student development through housing, wellness, leadership, and engaging programs. Enhancing student life is essential to creating a dynamic campus where all students can thrive academically and socially.
Emeritus Trustees can support this initiative by signing up to mentor a student or supporting specific student programs such as Student Care and Outreach, the Corsair Society, or the UGA Mentor Program.
How to Get Involved:
2. Research, Innovation, and Impact
The university serves as a catalyst for discovery, entrepreneurship, and economic growth through world-class research and strategic partnerships. Across campus, innovation initiatives connect students, faculty, and industry leaders to advance new ideas, create startups, strengthen communities, and prepare the workforce of the future.
Emeritus Trustees can support this initiative by connecting university leaders with industry and philanthropic partners, investing in endowed faculty support, mentoring student innovators, advocating for research priorities, and participating in innovation-focused events and programs.
How to Get Involved:
3. Student Scholarships
Scholarships are among the most powerful tools for attracting top students and ensuring that talented individuals can pursue a university education regardless of financial circumstance. Philanthropic investment in scholarships directly strengthens enrollment, retention, and student achievement for both graduate and undergraduate students.
