To Our UGA Community,

In this season of gratitude, we want to recognize you because you did it.

In the face of uncharted circumstances, you remained steadfast, united by your love for our university. Collaboration, learning and togetherness are essential to who we are; they are a defining part of the Bulldog spirit. We’d like to recognize the many people who enabled those experiences for our community this fall.

To our students and parents: thank you for your confidence, resilience and shared sacrifices. You demonstrated faith in our university and care for one another, stepping up daily to do your part to keep one another safe while continuing your educational journey.

To our faculty and staff: thank you for your flexibility, commitment and tenacity as you found new ways to deliver the rigorous learning experience for which our university is known. Your efforts have not gone unrecognized.

To our administration: you invested in months of careful preparation, new technologies, hybrid learning approaches and more to protect each of us, and we thank you for leading and serving us through these unprecedented times.

To the greater UGA family across the world: we know you hold Athens in your hearts; thank you for supporting us in spirit and on social media as we stayed the course through the ups and the downs. We felt you with us.

We do not take lightly the loss and hardship that the current challenges have brought to so many at home and globally, but we are grateful to be part of a community that is weathering the unknown together. Our planning, courage and belief in one another have served us well and prepared us for success in the spring semester and beyond.

Thank You and Happy Thanksgiving,
