Law Students Head to New York

Your gift can help them get there

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO THE UGA LAW SCHOOL’S MOOT COURT COMPETITION CAMPAIGN! THIS CAMPAIGN HAS COME TO A CLOSE. IF YOU WISH TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING THE LAW SCHOOL FUND, YOU CAN GIVE HERE: LAW SCHOOL FUND.

Three UGA School of Law third-year students—Mona E. Abboud, Taylor L. Stablein, and Casey E. Wofford—recently won the National Moot Court Competition regional tournament in Atlanta, earning them a spot at the national tier of the tournament in New York City January 29-31.

More than 180 accredited law schools participate in this prestigious competition involving more than 1,000 students.

Your gift to the Law School Fund can help ease the trio’s travel costs—estimated at $12,000— as they head to the Big Apple later this month.

Can we count on your support?

The National Moot Court Competition is an annual inter-law school event designed to promote the art of appellate advocacy. It is sponsored by the New York City Bar Association’s National Moot Court Competition Committee and the American College of Trial Lawyers and is one of the longest-running and honored competition of its kind.
