Law Students Head to New York
Your support can help them get there.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO THE UGA LAW SCHOOL MOOT COURT TEAM CAMPAIGN! THIS CAMPAIGN HAS COME TO A CLOSE. IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE, YOU CAN GIVE HERE.
Three third year students from the University of Georgia School of Law, Elizabeth N. Burns, Taylor N. Hoying and Antavious L. McCarden, recently claimed first place at the National Moot Court Competition’s regional tournament in Atlanta — earning a coveted spot at the national competition in New York City, January 28–30.
This prestigious event draws more than 1,000 students from over 180 accredited law schools nationwide and is one of the longest-running and most respected moot court competitions in the country.
As these students prepare to represent UGA on a national stage, your gift to the Law School Fund can help offset approximately $12,000 in travel and competition expenses, ensuring they can focus on advocating with confidence.
Can we count on your support to help send these Bulldogs to New York?
The National Moot Court Competition is sponsored by the New York City Bar Association’s National Moot Court Competition Committee and the American College of Trial Lawyers and is dedicated to advancing excellence in appellate advocacy.
