Help International Students Thrive from Day One
Every year, students arrive at UGA from around the world, bringing talent, ambition and fresh perspectives that enrich our campus and strengthen our community. Yet for many, those first days in a new country can feel overwhelming. They are navigating unfamiliar systems, adapting to cultural differences and living thousands of miles from home.
Without intentional support, these early experiences can shape a student’s sense of belonging and affect their ability to thrive.
That is where International Student Orientation makes all the difference.
More than an information session, orientation is a bridge to belonging. It transforms arrival into connection, helping students build the confidence, community and knowledge needed to succeed from day one. Through this program, students:
• Build their first friendships and support networks
• Learn to navigate academic life in the United States
• Gain confidence in managing daily life in a new country
• Feel genuinely welcomed into the Bulldog community
Your support ensures that every international student receives the warm welcome and resources needed to succeed. Our students come from 36 countries this year — help us reach 36 donors, one for every nation represented. Together, we can make every student’s first experience at UGA one of belonging, confidence and possibility.
