Help Bring Georgia’s First Standing CT Scanner to UGA
Imagine learning that your beloved pet needs advanced imaging to diagnose a serious condition — and knowing that the technology needed to help is not currently available anywhere in Georgia.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our veterinary community, we’re closer than ever to changing that. We asked our loyal supporters to answer the call, and you did! We’re already two-thirds of the way to our overall goal. Now, we’re asking you to help us raise the next $10,000 and keep the momentum going.
A standing CT scanner will expand what’s possible for large animal patients, including horses, pigs, camelids, small ruminants and cows, allowing our veterinarians to more accurately diagnose dental, orthopedic and neurological conditions. Because standing CT can reduce the need for general anesthesia, many patients can be imaged more safely and comfortably — with less risk and recovery time.
The impact will extend to our small animal patients, too. Additional imaging capacity will help us serve more dogs and cats with faster turnaround times while providing the high level of care they deserve.
And every scan will be an opportunity to train the next generation of veterinarians using technology at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
Your gift will help:
- Bring Georgia’s first standing CT scanner to the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
- Provide safer, more comfortable advanced imaging for large animal patients.
- Improve diagnosis of dental, orthopedic and neurological conditions.
- Increase imaging capacity for dogs and cats.
- Give UGA veterinary students hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology.
And right now, your gift will go twice as far thanks to a very generous donor who is matching every dollar up to $10,000.
