Standing Above the Rest: Keep the Momentum Going!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO THE VETERINARY TEACHING HOSPITAL FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT FUND! THIS CAMPAIGN HAS COME TO A CLOSE. IF YOU WANT TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE, YOU CAN GIVE HERE: VETERINARY TEACHING HOSPITAL FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT FUND.
Thanks to your support, we met our initial $10,000 goal — but let’s go farther!

Because of this amazing momentum, we’re extending our campaign with a new stretch goal of $15,000 to keep pushing forward toward our overall $3 million goal. Every dollar raised continues to make a real difference for the animals and families we serve. And thanks to a generous donor, every dollar you’ve given up to the first $10,000 has been matched dollar for dollar. Together, we can bring the first standing CT scanner to the state of Georgia and open the door to a brighter, healthier future for animals of every size, shape, and species.

Imagine being the person whose beloved pet is facing a serious condition — and knowing that your veterinary hospital has the most advanced diagnostic tool available, right here in Georgia. At UGA’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital, we’re on the brink of making that a reality. With your support, you’ll help bring the very first standing CT scanner in the state to the state of Georgia.

By adding a standing CT scanner to our diagnostic toolkit, we can revolutionize the way we care for large animals such as horses, pigs, and even exotic animals like camelids. This advanced technology will allow our veterinarians and DVM students to diagnose dental, orthopedic, and neurological conditions with greater accuracy — minimizing the need for anesthesia in large animal patients and keeping them safer and more comfortable than ever before.

For our small animal patients, including dogs and cats, the addition of this equipment will increase our hospital’s imaging capacity, helping us serve more pets in need with faster turnaround times and continued excellence in care.

Your gift will help:

  • Bring the only standing CT scanner in the state to our hospital.
  • Reduce risk and recovery time for large animals needing advanced imaging.
  • Increase imaging capacity for small animal patients.
  • Train future veterinarians using state-of-the-art technology.
  • Enhance our hospital and strengthen our community, ensuring animals and their families receive the highest level of care.

Join us and be part of a breakthrough that will open the door to a brighter, healthier future for animals of every size, shape, and species.
