The gift will benefit UGA’s School of Public and International Affairs and Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation has pledged $750,000 in support of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s shelter medicine program.
Thanks to a $100,000 grant, UGA will help two Jackson Co. schools incorporate computer science skills in the classroom.
The inaugural holder of the Bill and June Flatt Chair in Foods and Nutrition is Connie Rogers, head of FACS’ nutritional sciences department.
The gift will provide support for scholarships, research fellowships, community engagement programs and experiential learning opportunities.
Dawg Day of Giving gifts cumulatively contributed over $13.8 million to schools, colleges, departments and programs all over campus.
The gift will strengthen efforts to increase college access and retention for Georgia youth who have experienced foster care or homelessness.
The Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation gave the grant, which is the largest in the museum’s history.
