College of Public Health CARE Center

Help the CARE Center Improve Lives Across Georgia

When a family receives a dementia diagnosis, they shouldn’t have to navigate what comes next alone.

At the University of Georgia’s Cognitive Aging Research and Education (CARE) Center, we’re creating the support these families and individuals need through education, resources and groundbreaking research. We’re also making high-quality dementia care more accessible across Georgia.

From September 18 – 25, your generosity can help make that possible.

Thanks to a generous matching gift from a University of Georgia alumnus, your donation can go twice as far for families facing dementia. Every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000, enabling us to raise $50,000 for unrestricted support of the CARE Center. This opportunity is the first of its kind for the CARE Center.

Together, we can help CARE reach more families, expand access to vital services and continue building a future where dementia is met with knowledge, compassion and support — not uncertainty and isolation.

“If these funds encourage others to join the fight or help people feel less alone, they will have done their job,” Becky Winkler, UGAF Board of Trustees member and dedicated UGA supporter.

Will you join us in leveraging this matching gift opportunity to benefit Georgia families?

Please note, matching funds will be disbursed and added to the fundraising total on September 28.
