Regions Bank has made a $500,000 gift to the University of Georgia Foundation in support of the Institute for Leadership Advancement, the Small Business Development Center, and a need-based student scholarship. This contribution will allow the university to broaden its educational and economic impacts throughout the state of Georgia and further Regions Bank’s commitment to provide resources for tomorrow’s leaders and entrepreneurs. Bill Linginfelter, the North Georgia market executive for Regions Bank, had this to say about the gift:

“The business climate is always evolving, always changing, and always prioritizing innovation. The University of Georgia is at the forefront of helping students, business owners, and communities prepare for a more prosperous future. Regions Bank is honored to support UGA’s vital work. We believe when companies like Regions and renowned institutions like the University of Georgia work together, we can create tremendous impacts that will benefit people and places for generations to come.”

This gift will support several service-learning and community impact programs through ILA, provide education programming through SBDC, and establish a newly named, need-based scholarship as part of the Holmes-Hunter Academic Building Renovation Campaign. The University of Georgia is grateful to Regions Bank for their continued partnership in education and economic development throughout the state of Georgia.
