Hauntingly Helpful Pollinators

Hauntingly Helpful Pollinators

EMBRACE THE SPIRIT OF GIVING

Throughout the month of October, the UGA Odum School of Ecology is rallying the Bulldog community to protect and conserve our native pollinator creatures and plants – bats, bees, beetles, butterflies, and birds. Join us in this ghoulishly good cause to make a lasting impact on the Southeast’s ecosystems!

Pollinating creatures play an otherworldly role in maintaining our environment, food supply, and even in the fight against climate change. They are the enchanting force behind the growth of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, with over 75% of global food crops relying on their magic!

YOU CAN BEE THE SOLUTION!

By conjuring a contribution for The Pollinator Project, you’re conjuring support for vital initiatives that safeguard the well-being of these mystical creatures and the biodiversity of plants. Your donation will brew interdisciplinary ecological research, habitat restoration, and spellbinding citizen science right here in Georgia. Together, we’ll work our magic for a healthier environment, stronger food security, and a more sustainable future.

The Odum School of Ecology’s cauldron is bubbling with the goal of collecting 31 magical gifts by the stroke of midnight on October 31. Whether your offering is as small as a spider’s web or as grand as a haunted mansion, each gift adds to the magic of our collective impact.

Together, we’ll reach our goal to celebrate the wonders of pollinators and their supernatural role in our ecosystem!
